Formerly known as the Horse and Jockey in the 1700's it was a busy place next to the Race course and Grandstand. Renamed in 1800 The Railway Hotel and Posting House it was a main stop off point for Posting Carriages, then having stables to house horses and accommodation for travellers. In 1901 it was transformed into what you see today and named The Station Hotel. This is a beautiful period building with wonderful architecture both inside and outside. The Main Bar was completely refurbished in November 1999 in the colours and design of the period and features an open fire place. The Lounge Bar is a smaller meeting place. A function room is situated off the main hall and used for meetings, and where the local Folk Club play every week. It is available for many uses as required by our customers. Smoking Bar and Non Smoking bar facilities available. Bar Lunches served.
