In an outstanding elevated position with views across Fort William to Loch Linnhe. The hotel is only a short walk from the centre of Fort William.
Still retaining many of its original features notably the wood panelling and open fires which create the welcoming atmosphere of a bygone age. The Highland is a fine example of a 'Highland Hotel'. Fort William is an excellent touring base. Places of interest include: the Great Glen, the Caledonian Canal with Neptune's staircase, Glenfinnan and of course Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Britain. During the summer there is a steam train which runs between Fort William and Mallaig (the port for the ferry to Skye).
