Nestled in a pastoral scene between the lakes and mountains above Evian, La Verniaz is an ensemble of old Alpine houses and chalets secluded in beautiful floral pastures. We offer our visitors a friendly and warm atmosphere. The hotel takes its name from the local word 'vergne', which is a small shrub common in the area where the waters of Evian flow. The present owners, the Verdier family have been managing hotels for generations. They have succeeded in perfecting a mixture of international hospitality, 70 years of top class Franco-Swiss hotel experience with some hearty Russian spirit and a very British 'country club' character blended in for good measure.
