The Manor House Hotel is a superb example of a luxurious, 19th century mansion full of character and style. The Manor was built in 1867 by William Froude, an eminent naval architect. He in fact commissioned Henry the son of Isambard Kingdom Brunel to build an outstanding example of a unique flying staircase. A stay in the hotel today is quite simply to live, however briefly, in another, more elegant and luxurious age.
