 The Ness House is an elegant Georgian hotel situated on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Shaldon. Overlooking the Teign Estuary with magnificent views of Teignmouth and the beautiful unspoilt Devon Coastline.
All twelve bedrooms have private bathroom, television, telephone, hair-drier, and tea and coffee making facilities. The luxury rooms have a courtesy area with a refrigerator, and most have a balcony with sea views. You can relax and enjoy your dinner in our elegant candlelit Sea Terrace Restaurant, overlooking the panoramic views of the coastline, or you can have a snack in the lounge bar enjoying the same views. This gives a good value for money with something to suit every pocket, and excellent service. During the summer months, Shaldon holds a 1785 day every Wednesday with local people dressing up in costume and selling their home-made goods from stalls on the village green. Within 50 yards of the hotel we have a wildlife zoo with some fascinating unusual animals and an approach golf course; and 20 yards away we have the Smugglers Tunnel that takes you down to the secluded Ness Beach, sheltered by the Ness Cliff. You can enjoy tennis or join a boat on fishing trips. Watersports and horse riding are both available close by. If you are not feeling energetic, sit and enjoy a cream tea in the hotel gardens watching the busy picture of the harbour and river from a distance.
