Sand Pebbles Hotel & Restaurant is one of the most established hotels in the area. A Warm and friendly environment.
Rates include: 6 Course dinner, bed & full English breakfast. Delightfully situated in its own grounds, the hotel overlooks the sea and countryside and is within an easy 300 yard walk of a sandy beach and conveniently placed to reach the cliff tops, walking a similar distance on the level. From this point you may continue for a stroll - or a more energetic walk to discover what hidden pleasures await around the next bend in the trail or over the next cliff top hill. Or you may, of course, just prefer to admire the setting sun with all its changing pictures. Sand Pebbles is an ideal touring retreat within easy reach of Salcombe, Plymouth, Looe, Bodmin, Dartmoor, Dartmouth and Torbay. Apart from our own local beaches on our doorstep, there are many more secluded coves and rockpools nearby. The sheltered harbours and convenient slipways make water sports very accessible, such as sailing, water skiing and scuba diving. Facilities for golf, tennis and horse riding are also all within easy reach. Hope Cove is a delightful spot due west of Salcombe, set in the curve of Bigbury Bay near the promontory of Bolt Tail. Several shipwrecks have taken place in the area and one of the ships of the Spanish Armada went down in the cove itself. Much of this coastline is preserved and protected by the National Trust and the cliff footpaths offer endless enjoyment with breathtaking views of sea and countryside. Hope Cove is divided into Inner Hope and Outer Hope, each maintaining their old charm with thatched cottages and small harbours. The small sandy beaches are quite safe for bathers and most water sports, including excellent facilities for fishing, boating and sailing. Most of the year Special Breaks are offered for early and late seasons. Open all year including Christmas and New Year. Our Restaurant, overlooking the countryside and the cove, offers comfortable and relaxed dining where the table is yours for the evening. Our commitment to offering fine food is well known. Local fresh produce is prepared in the quest for 'Healthy Eating' and local specialities such as lobster and crab are regularly served. Our wines are specially selected to offer an excellent choice from a variety of countries and regions. A five course dinner, with a superb variety of dishes, is served every evening. Our restaurant is the 'Select Haunt' of many local diners and has become popular due to its excellent reputation for cuisine and hospitality. Individual diets for medical reasons will be prepared if prior notice is given to the chef.
