The harbour and canal workings give a glimpse of Bude's past, which has grown from a working port during the last century into a delightful holiday town that has changed little since John Betjeman described it as one of the least spoilt of resorts. For the golfer and jazz enthusiast, the Hotel Penarvor offers special golfing holidays and jazz weekends. From the Hotel Penarvor a profusion of places are within easy travelling distance.
