The Palace Hotel is situated adjacent to the pier, with beautiful views over Oban Bay. Awarded FHG Diploma for 'Holiday Accomodation of the Highest Standard'
The West-Coast fishing village of Oban is popularly known as 'Gateway to the Islands'. The most popular boat trip running daily is to the Island of Iona. Boats also sail to Mull, Coll, Tiree and Kerrera. Oban is a popular resort with young and old alike and we cater for both with single, family, double or twin rooms. The rear rooms are cosy and quiet, whereas the front rooms have a magnificent view over to the bay, to the Mull hills beyond. The Lounge and Dining room are also situated at the front of the Hotel. If you plan to visit the islands during your stay, we will provide a full cooked breakfast at 7.00am to allow you to catch the early boat if you wish. If you wish to bring your pet on holiday they will be made very welcome, although they must be supervised at all times. Golf, fishing, horse-riding, sailing and swimming are all available within a short distance. There is a central feature staircase in the hotel, however the lowest bedrooms are on the second floor. As a small family run hotel we hope that your stay with us will feel more like a home from home rather than just a hotel.
